Made in Spain.Historical BackgroundScaly fish with large heads and long, curling tails were frequently incorporated in the decorative arts during the Victorian era. These fish were referred to as Baroque dolphins, though they bear little resemblance to the marine mammals we know as dolphins today.A Green Man can be either a face or head (rarely a body) made of or covered in leaves and is most commonly found as a decorative element in stone architecture. The design is believed to represent life and/or rebirth and often appears on churches and cathedrals some dating to the 11th century.
